At the opening of the Democratic convention, working people will see that “stronger together” isn’t just a campaign slogan. It’s what Secretary Hillary Clinton actually believes. Don’t take my word for it, though — read her just-released platform.
Secretary Clinton’s message? Working people matter. She has called for the expansion of collective bargaining in this country. Clinton also says that right-to-work laws, which are explicitly designed to weaken and eventually eliminate unions, are “wrong for America.” You see, the Secretary understands what Donald Trump and his running mate fail to grasp: the clearest path to economic progress is through strong unions that fight for fair wages and retirement security.
