Marriott workers in Boston, San Francisco and San Jose who are members of UNITE HERE are on strike today — and more than 8,300 Marriott workers have authorized strikes in nine cities across the country.
Hardworking Marriott employees have tried to reach an agreement with the company. But too many who work full-time at Marriott aren’t able to earn enough to get by and have to work multiple jobs despite being employed by the most profitable and largest hotel chain in the world.
One job at one of the richest hotel corporations on the planet should be enough to live in the city where we work, to raise our families and to retire with dignity.
This is the largest number of hotel workers ever whose contracts have expired at one time in their union. Workers across the nation have been standing together to show that we have the power to change jobs and lives for the better.
This is a powerful moment for Marriott hotel workers across the country.
Take the pledge today and stand with them!
In Solidarity,
